Founded in 2011, artisans cottage was conceptualised as a creative space for an exchange of innovative ideas and collaborative partnerships between design & craft. Our core values and principles are driven by a deep passion to preserve artisans’ age-old art forms with an underlying understanding of the importance and potential of meaningful collaborations between design & craft to bring forth positive sustainable change.

Our work over the years has aspired to create values that contribute towards a holistic, sustainable, and socially responsible creative practice, and we have always endeavored to build new perspectives that prioritise environmental, social, economic, and cultural contexts. By fostering meaningful connections and collaborations between designers, not-for-profit organisations, and craftspeople at the grassroots, the ongoing effort is to pave a direction for sustainability for crafts, culture, and the future of design.
